CAL-ABOTA Annual Conference in Hawaii
Wednesday, October 30th, 2013
I am pleased to be traveling to Hawaii next week to give a continuing legal education presentation at the CAL-ABOTA Annual Conference. The conference is from November 4th-13th at the Turtle Bay Resort on the island of Oahu. The presentation will focus on financial and management topics for law firms.
CAL-ABOTA is the California chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA fosters improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy to the end that individual litigants may receive more effective representation and the general public be benefited by more efficient administration of justice consistent with time-tested and traditional principles of litigation.
If you are a CAL-ABOTA member, I’d like to encourage you to consider attending the conference and I look forward to meeting you there! Click here for more information and to register for the meeting.

University of Nevada, Las Vegas – William S. Boyd School of Law
Thursday, October 3rd, 2013
I’m very pleased to be traveling to Las Vegas next week to serve as a guest speaker at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas – William S. Boyd School of Law. I’ll be spending a few hours sharing with some of the students about the special business and financial challenges they will face as lawyers, especially if they choose to serve their communities as contingent-fee lawyers. I believe in what trial lawyers do and I enjoy helping them (and future lawyers) get the best results possible for their clients by maximizing their business and financial effectiveness.
