CAL-ABOTA Conference Update from Hawaii

Friday, November 8th, 2013

Mike CAL ABOTASo far it’s been a great week here at the Turtle Bay Resort on the north shore of Oahu.  I’ve enjoyed seeing some old friends and also making some new ones.  The educational seminars have been excellent.  We have enjoyed interesting and helpful presentations from:

Landon Harlan of OBU Interactive

Jane-Riley Pugh of EPS Settlements Group

Douglas Brand of Medivest

Michael T. “Mick” Callahan, President of ABOTA

The Hon. Russell Bostrom, Ret. of Judicate West

Richard Gabriel of Decision Analysis, Inc.

Mark P. Robinson, Jr., President Elect of ABOTA

I also had the pleasure of being a guest speaker, presenting a primer called “Law Firm Finance 101 – What They Don’t Teach You in Law School.”, which was a lot of fun.

Kudos to CAL-ABOTA President Steve Glickman, CAL-ABOTA Executive Director Shirley Schwartz and to Sara Mooney and the rest of the team at Carousel Travel for an excellent meeting.

There have been having some great social events too, click here to see a few photos from this week.

Tonight we’re looking forward to the Gala at which the 2013 CAL-ABOTA Trial Lawyer of the Year, Edith Matthai, will be honored.

Aloha!

Mike
